Good portable power stations are hard to come by. Don’t get us wrong. There is no shortage of portable power stations in the market. On the contrary, there are way too many portable power stations available for sale. That is exactly what makes it even more difficult to choose the right product.
This is why our today’s article is all about Beaudens Power Station review. We are going to discuss the features of Beaudens Power Station and tell you if it is indeed worth your money or not.
So, without any further ado, let’s begin!
BEAUDENS 380Wh LiFePO4 Portable Power Station Review
Let’s start our Beaudens Power Station review with the top features of this power station.
LiFePO4 Battery
The first thing that makes Beaudens Power Station one of the best in the market is that it features a LiFePO4 power station. For people who don’t know what the LiFePO4 battery is let us explain. LiFEPO4 battery stands for Lithium Iron Phosphate.
So, why is this such a big deal?
Well, first and foremost, the LiFePO4 battery offers 2000 cycles. In other words, you can completely charge and discharge this battery 2000 times.
Secondly, this battery has an approximate life of 10 years. This long-lasting feature makes the LiFePO4 battery cost-effective.
Last but not the least, the LiFePO4 battery is the most stable type of battery. It has a lower rate of capacity loss. This means you can use this battery for years before there’s a need to replace it.
MPPT Technology
How many times have you forgotten to charge your power station from the wall outlet? And then you’re in the middle of a trip with a dead battery? Well, that can never be a problem with the Beaudens Power Station.
Why? Because this power station offers MPPT or Maximum Power Point Tracker technology. This technology helps a power station to charge via solar panels quickly.
Versatile Output Ports
No one buys a power station to charge the same type of appliances every day. One day you are at home and want to run your lawnmower. The next day, you are at the top of a hill, looking for a way to run your electrical kettle. When our lives are versatile why shouldn’t our power stations be the same?
This is where Beaudens Power Station surprised us the most. This power station has got a 60W PD USB C port which is perfect for charging laptops, phones, and MacBooks. It also features a USB A port, 12V port, DC port, and three AC ports.
300W Pure Sine Wave Inverter
How many times have you got your electrical device ruined because of fluctuating current? Believe it or not, a poorly made power station can expload your phone battery. Fortunately, Beaudens Power Station is not one of those power stations. It features a 300W pure sine inverter. Due to this inverter, the power station supplies a clean and stable current for sensitive devices such as laptops, phones, and MacBooks.
Ergonomic & Portable Design
One of the greatest things about Beaudens Power Station is that it is portable. The power station is made of aluminum. As aluminum is a light metal, it doesn’t add much weight to the product. Secondly, aluminum also keeps the temperature of the power station low.
On top of that Beaudens Power Station features an ergonomic handle that helps you to carry it around easily.
BEAUDENS 380Wh LiFePO4 Portable Power Station Testing
You already know the specifications of the Beaudens Power Station. Now it’s time we discuss some of the experiments we did with this power station to test its functionality.
Inverter test
As we discussed already that Beaudens Power Station features a 300W inverter. But just reading about the inverter was not enough, we wanted to put it to a test. Basically, all we wanted to know was can the Beaudens Power Station run an appliance that needs 300W and above power? And how long will it take for the Beaudens Power Station inverter to trip? So, we started the test.
Beaudens Power Station doesn’t show the input and output wattage, so, we had to plugin our own wattage tester. We used a hairdryer for this experiment because hairdryers are notorious for requiring high wattage power.
However, after we put the hairdryer on the highest heat setting, the inverter tripped immediately.
Main Charging Test
The Beaudens Power Station offers 3 different types of charging, but wall outlet charging is the most used one. So, we chose to test it. We connected the Beaudens Power Station to the wall outlet using the charger it comes with. The unit took around 8-9 hours to charge completely, from 0 to 100%.
As the unit took a lot of time to charge, we felt like it might not be a good option for emergency usage.
MPPT Limitation Testing
Beaudens Power Station features MPPT technology that allows it to charge faster using solar panels. So, we thought to check how fast can the Beaudens Power Station charge on solar power. Unfortunately, the results were underwhelming.
Even though we connected a 100WH solar panel sheet with the Beaudens Power Station, the power station was charging on 42WH. So, no matter if you’re using a 100WH solar panel, or a 200WH, the charging rate will stay the same.
Conclusion
With that, we are at the end of the article. Today in this Beaudens Power Station review, we tried to walk you through the many appealing features of this power station. We also showed you the results of some tests that we did. We hope now you know all the details to figure out if you want to buy Beaudens Power Station or not.
But if you ask us, we would say you should go for it. Beaudens Power Station has good battery life. Yes, it takes a while to charge but the battery capacity is also larger. And it is perfect for someone who wants a power station for solely charging their devices.
