Inverters with batteries are a great emergency fuel for your electrical appliances during power outages. What makes them better than a generator is that battery inverters are usually much more affordable and portable.
And today, we will talk about a similar inverter battery, the Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter. This inverter from EGO is one of the most affordable battery inverters in the market.
In today’s article, we will do a basic Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter review. I will tell you all of the pros and cons of this device and whether you should buy it or not.
So, without any further ado, let’s start our review:
What’s Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter for?
The following are some of the reasons why you should buy an Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter:
Capable of Working with Any Lithium Battery
The manufacturer recommended using an Ego 56V 7.5 Ah lithium battery for the Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter. However, you can use any other battery for this inverter as well. The only thing to keep in mind is that the battery that you use is a lithium battery.
So, if you have an old but well-functioning battery, you can save money and skip buying a new one!
PS: The working capacity of the inverter would depend on the overall capacity of the lithium battery.
Charges Electrical Devices
The Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter features 2 USB ports that you can use to charge your phone, tablet, laptop, and other devices that use a USB charger. As a rule of thumb, with a 7.5 Ah ARC Lithium Battery (recommended by the manufacturer), you can charge a conventional smartphone 27 times.
Moreover, this inverter also features a 120V AC power outlet. And along with the recommended battery, you can charge your laptop 5 times before the battery drains out completely.
Runs Electrical Appliances & Power Tools
Not all devices need to be charged; some need direct energy to run, right? Fortunately, the Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter can also do that.
You can also run your TV with the same 120 V AC power outlet. The recommended battery can run a 42″ TV for 10 hours; however, if your TV is smaller and consumes less energy, the 7.5 Ah RC Lithium Battery would last longer.
Lastly, you can successfully run other electrical devices and appliances such as speakers, lamps, wifi routers, lawnmowers, electric chainsaws, and other power tools.
Capable of Working Indoor & Outdoor
One of the best things about the Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter is that this inverter can be used both inside and outside. So, whether you want to run an appliance indoors or a power tool outdoors, this inverter is perfect for both situations.
Furthermore, this usage flexibility suggests that the Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter is perfect for camping and RV.
Perfect Solution During Power Outage
Lastly, the Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter is for those people who live in an area where power outage is frequent. You can use this inverter during power outages caused by heavy storms, heavy snowfall, heavy rain, or any other possible reason.
However, just remember if the weather outside is extreme, it is advised to keep the inverter inside.

Ego PAD1500 Nexus Escape Inverter Real Tests
I tested the Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter twice to check the performance of this product. I also used the Ego Power 7.5 Ah battery that the company recommends. Here are the results of both experiments.
Test #1
I connected my phone to the inverter to charge them. And within an hour, my phone was already fully charged. I just charged my phone via the inverter for a couple of days to see how many times it could charge it. And it ended up charging 25 times.
Test #2
I also plugged a CPAP machine with the inverter to see how long it would run. Unfortunately, the inverter could not run the CPAP and kept shutting down. So, I can say that the Ego PAD1500 nexus escape inverter is unsuitable for CPAP machines.
